How SkyPlan works

  1. You tell us, we check

Choose your dates, then say who’s travelling. You see what we understood before anything is planned.

  2. The balloon morning comes first

Your flight goes on an early morning, so a later one stays free as a backup when your dates allow. Each day is planned around it, from sunrise to sunset.

An estimate. The official go/no-go is set under SHGM rules; your operator tells you.

  3. You book with the providers

One list links to each provider’s own site, and you pay them on their terms. Your bookings never change by themselves.

GetYourGuide is our partner. We may earn a commission.

Flight chance

An estimate, not a guarantee. The official go/no-go for each morning is set under the rules of Turkey’s civil aviation authority (SHGM), not by us; your operator tells you. Our monthly rates are calculated from the monthly flight days published by the Kapadokya Slot Service Center (Kapadokya Slot Hizmet Merkezi), Kapadokya University (July 2025 to September 2026). We never add mornings up into one chance. December has no official figure yet, so its rate is still sample data.

Seasons

Low season November to February (TÜRSAB Cappadocia representative) and high season April to October (a Cappadocia balloon operator). March is our sample estimate. Season levels, not live prices.

Sunrise and sunset

Calculated for Göreme for each date.

Sunrise and sunset times for every date

Places, prices and hours

Prototype data: most places and prices are sample placeholders pending field verification. Opening hours of the ministry’s museums and sites come from its website (muze.gov.tr); other opening hours are sample data. Monthly flight chances are calculated from the Kapadokya Slot Service Center’s monthly flight days, except December, which is still sample data. A few facts come from dated secondary sources and are shown as approximate.
